About the Author
Susan discovered the power of dialogue during chemotherapy she was undergoing to treat breast cancer. She befriended a fellow patient who had very different political views but through listening, empathy and sharing, they forged a friendship and passed the time during their treatment chatting peacefully instead of arguing. As we become more diversified as a nation, it is imperative we learn to communicate in a constructive way. The goal of this website is to provide tools and resources for social workers to use dialogue in their practice, both macro and micro as well as their everyday life.
Listen as Susan explains her project, the connection to human rights and her own journey as a human rights change agent.
